Summary of Essential Duties
A Director of Investment Services (DIS) must demonstrate a broad base of knowledge across a broad range of investment advisory services including portfolio design (equity, fixed income, alternatives, private markets, etc.), custody platforms, regulatory requirements, public capital markets, private market prerequisites, tax considerations, etc. The DIS is responsible for portfolio design, monitoring, support, and management for household investment accounts for all assigned client relationships. A successful DIS is comfortable working with clients and 3rd party strategic partners, with an emphasis on the ability to communicate concepts and address client needs. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences. Organization skills and attention to detail are critical given the nature of sophisticated planning, documentation, and execution processes. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and make sound investment decisions. You will report to the CEO. #LI-Onsite

Leadership
- Provide training and mentoring to team members, as needed, in areas of investment strategy execution
- Work with the team to improve our policies and procedures, focusing on excellent and efficient operations and client service, especially with regards to the investment management process
Investment Advisory Process & Client Services
- Develop and implement investment strategies aligned with our systems and each client's specific financial goals and risk tolerance
- Oversee and manage investment portfolios, including asset allocation, rebalancing, and performance monitoring
- Conduct research and analysis of financial markets, securities, and investment products to identify potential investment opportunities
- Prepare for, and conduct, periodic performance reviews with clients and firm leadership
- Build and maintain relationships with external strategic partners, including private markets sponsors, separate investment managers, consultants, and other industry professionals
- Maintain regular involvement in client's financial planning dashboard (eMoney) and investment strategy and provide appropriate actions regarding changes to client situations, goals and needs relative to investment strategy
- Provide ongoing client support as requested including regular performance reporting and annual plan updates
- Communicate with assigned clients to provide advice / recommendations
- Analyze and evaluate new insurance products and strategies for possible incorporation into our product offerings
- Collaborate and coordinate with clients' other professional advisors to deliver thoughtful and holistic advice, recommendations and service
What You'll Bring
- 4-year Bachelor's degree required
- CFP designation preferred
- Series 7 and 66 license and applicable state licenses
- Minimum 5 years financial planning experience
- Experience with Fidelity Wealthscape
- Experience with Envestnet platform
- Experience with iCapital & CAIS
- Experience with BlackDiamond reporting systems
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Impeccable ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity
- Effective follow-up skills
- Energetic, eager to learn, willing to work together
