The Garage's Platform and Systems Team is seeking an experienced Analog System Design Engineer to join our team in Boston, with a track record of bringing products to market, and strong competencies in analog and mixed-signal circuit design. Our team works cross-functionally to advance applications in biotech, energy, and autonomous systems that span the breadth of Intelligent Edge systems. You will be a key functional contributor in our New Product Development process and work to define and build early electronic system prototypes into Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) and beyond. You will work with a team of engineers and business developers who experiment and iterate rapidly to take ideas from prototype to commercialization. As an Analog System Design Engineer, you will -

- Design, develop, and debug analog and mixed signal chain hardware systems.
- Specialize in precision analog sensor signal chains ranging from proof of principle to MVP.
- Work with researchers and engineers to own the design of experiments and execute data collection.

Desired Skills:
- MS EE with 8+ years of industry experience, focusing on system-level circuit design
- Experience in precision analog, mixed signal, or RF signal chain design, conditioning, and optimization
- Experience with designing scientific experiments and debugging novel circuits
- Proficient in Spice, Altium, ADS, or similar simulators and capture tools for signal chain design, compliance, and signal integrity checks
- Fundamental knowledge of DSP and hardware-software co-design tradeoffs
- Comfortable with automating measurements using Python or Matlab scripts
- Autonomous and self-directed in independently pursuing new research directions
- Excellent oral and written communication skills to interact with cross-functional teams and motivated to learn new things quickly in an agile environment
What skills are a bonus:
- PhD EE with 5+ years of relevant industry circuit design experience
- Previous experience with Biosensor design
- Healthcare domain knowledge and/or experience simulating and measuring with human body phantoms
- Knowledge of software development life cycle and applicable tools like git, issue trackers, and CICD.
