The Director of Content & Creative will be responsible for executing and optimizing content creation, creative strategies, and user experience initiatives across all digital marketing channels at Emory Healthcare.
This role will oversee a talented team focused on content marketing, web development, graphic design, UX/UI design, and analytics, ensuring that content and creative strategies align with business goals and deliver impactful results.
Reporting to the VP of Digital Marketing, the Director will drive the execution of content and creative strategies that support Emory Healthcare's brand awareness, user engagement, and growth objectives.
This position requires a leader who is experienced in digital content, creative direction, and user experience optimization, with a focus on performance and measurable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities Content Creation & Strategy Execution:
- 1. Lead the execution of content strategies across digital platforms, ensuring high-quality content creation and distribution aligned with business goals.
- 2. Manage the creation of digital content including articles, blog posts, social media posts, videos, graphics, and more.
- 3. Collaborate with content creators to develop innovative campaigns that drive audience engagement, conversions, and brand awareness.
Creative Direction & Campaign Execution:
- 1. Oversee the creative process, ensuring that all creative assets support the overall brand and campaign objectives.
- 2. Ensure consistency of messaging and branding across all digital touchpoints, including websites, email marketing, and social media channels.
- 3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure content aligns with larger marketing strategies and objectives.
User Experience & Web Optimization:
- 1. Work closely with the UX/UI Design team to optimize digital experiences, ensuring that all websites and digital products meet user needs and expectations.
- 2. Oversee web development efforts, ensuring technical SEO best practices are followed and sites are optimized for speed, mobile-friendliness, and performance.
- 3. Ensure that content and creative elements are seamlessly integrated into web and mobile experiences.
Analytics & Performance Reporting:
- 1. Collaborate with the Analytics Manager to track, measure, and report on the performance of all content and creative campaigns.
- 2. Develop KPIs and actionable insights to refine creative strategies and improve overall marketing performance.
- 3. Use data and performance metrics to drive optimization and continuous improvement across campaigns and creative efforts.
Team Leadership & Development:
- 1. Lead and mentor the Content Marketing Manager, Analytics Manager, Web Developer, Graphic Designer, and UX/UI Designer, ensuring alignment and effective execution of their respective areas.
- 2. Foster a high-performance culture within the team, encouraging innovation, creativity, and collaboration to achieve campaign goals.
- 3. Provide support and guidance to help team members grow in their roles and excel at their work.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- 1. Partner with other teams, including Digital Marketing, IT, and Creative, to ensure content, creative assets, and user experiences align with marketing and organizational goals.
- 2. Provide regular updates to senior leadership on the progress and results of content and creative campaigns.
Minimum Qualifications Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Design, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience:
- 1. 7+ years of experience in content marketing, creative execution, or digital marketing, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
- 2. Proven experience in managing teams that execute content, creative, and user experience strategies across digital platforms.
- 3. Strong background in web development, graphic design, UX/UI design, and data analytics.
Skills & Competencies:
- 1. Strong leadership and management abilities, with experience in mentoring and developing a high-performing team.
- 2. Expertise in content strategy, creative direction, and optimizing user experience across digital channels.
- 3. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and generate insights to improve content and creative performance.
- 4. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to work effectively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
- 5. Strong knowledge of SEO, web development, and content management best practices.
Tools & Technologies:
- Proficiency in content management systems (CMS), web analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics), SEO tools, design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite), and other digital marketing tools.
Preferred Qualifications Education:
- Master's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience:
- Web optimization, A/B testing, and technical SEO. Tools & Technologies:: Familiarity with content automation tools and CRM platforms.
