Job Description

Join our team as a Senior Integration Technical Architect - a key technical leadership role with hands-on responsibilities in the design, delivery, and governance of enterprise API, event, and microservices-based integration solutions. This role is pivotal in shaping the integration architecture vision, enabling modern, scalable integration capabilities, and supporting innovation across our digital ecosystem, including GenAI-driven use cases. You will work closely with enterprise architects, platform engineers, and domain teams to design and deliver robust, secure, and intelligent integration solutions.

What You'll Do
  • Architect and Deliver Modern Integration Solutions: Design and implement scalable, cloud-native integration solutions using Apigee (API management), Confluent Kafka (event streaming), and container-based microservices on GCP and AWS.
  • AI-Driven Integration: Lead the integration of GenAI capabilities into business workflows by designing APIs and streaming pipelines that securely connect AI models with enterprise systems and data.
  • Integration Patterns & Reusability: Build and evolve reusable integration patterns, templates, and frameworks to accelerate delivery and promote platform adoption.
  • Integration Strategy, Standards, and Governance: Define, socialize, and enforce enterprise-wide integration standards and best practices for APIs, events, and microservices, supporting secure and scalable architecture across the organization.
  • Platform Enablement: Contribute to platform capabilities including API lifecycle automation, observability, developer self-service enablement, and CI/CD integration to improve developer experience and operational excellence.
  • Hands-on Implementation: Drive proof-of-concepts and critical implementations to validate architecture decisions and enable delivery teams through hands-on technical leadership.
  • Innovation and Research: Continuously evaluate emerging technologies - including GenAI, low-code integration tools, and event-driven platforms - to inform and advance platform strategy.
  • Collaboration: Partner with enterprise and domain architects, business stakeholders, and product owners to align integration solutions with business objectives and enterprise architecture principles.
  • Project and Delivery Leadership: Provide architecture leadership throughout the delivery lifecycle - collaborate with delivery managers to shape technical backlogs, assess feasibility, estimate complexity, and ensure architecture standards are applied during solution implementation.
  • Quality Oversight: Ensure integration solutions are secure, resilient, and performant, and support observability, test automation, and fault tolerance through architectural best practices.

What You Bring

Technical Expertise
  • Expert-level experience in designing and delivering integration solutions, including API management, microservices, event-driven architecture, and streaming platforms.
  • Deep experience with Apigee, Confluent Kafka, and cloud-native integration using GCP, AWS, and Kubernetes.
  • Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, Python, and scripting/automation with Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar IaC tools.
  • Familiarity with modern event and messaging platforms (e.g., Kafka Connect, Pub/Sub, WebSockets).

Integration Governance
  • Proven experience defining and enforcing integration standards, reusable patterns, and best practices, enabling consistent and scalable architecture across teams and domains.

Agile and DevOps Proficiency
  • Demonstrated success working in Agile delivery environments using Scrum or SAFe frameworks.
  • Strong working knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines using tools like Git, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Jira, and automated testing frameworks.

Security
  • In-depth understanding of integration security protocols including OAuth2, mTLS, JWT, and API security best practices.
  • Experience with identity and access management platforms such as ForgeRock or equivalent.

Analytical Skills
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to assess solution alternatives and make sound technical recommendations.
  • Ability to perform impact analysis and risk assessments across a distributed, interconnected system landscape.

Soft Skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders, influence technical direction, and facilitate collaboration across teams.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, business-aligned narratives for both technical and non-technical audiences.
