Job Description

Reporting to the Senior Director, Finance, the individual will be responsible for modernizing financial practices by integrating the latest technologies, such as BI and Power Pivot, while acting as a strategic business partner to support TDC's leadership team and optimize network performance nationwide.

Transat Distribution Canada (TDC) is a full-service travel agency network with some 260 physical travel agencies, websites, a call center and independent travel counsellors representing the agent@home program. The network includes the Voyages Transat, Transat Travel, Marlin Travel, Club Voyages, TravelPlus and Voyages en Libert brands, as well as other affiliated members. TDC is a subsidiary of Transat A.T. Inc. a large integrated international tourism company specializing in vacation travel, offering packages, hotel stays and airline connections. Its head office is located in Montreal.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and mobilize a financial analysis team, fostering skills development and a vision aligned with the company's strategic objectives.
  • Act as a strategic business partner for senior management, actively contributing to the development and implementation of strategic orientations.
  • Work closely with leaders across TDC (franchisees-affiliates, sales and operations, marketing, industry relations) to align financial decisions with business priorities, maximize value creation and growth, and continue to evolve TDC's position as Canada's leading leisure travel retailer.
  • Integrate and adopt Power BI as a key lever to modernize financial tools and reports, to effectively innovate and support sales operations and strategic decisions.
  • Oversee and communicate strategic financial reporting, highlighting key performance indicators to support decision-making discussions.
  • Drive the development and production and analysis of financial results, identifying trends and opportunities, providing proactive recommendations to guide critical decision-making.
  • Orchestrate the annual budget process and financial forecasts, ensuring alignment of resources with strategic priorities.
  • Lead/participate in financial and operational optimization initiatives, identifying performance levers.
  • Play a key role in strategic projects, supporting TDC management with financial perspectives focused on continuous improvement and competitiveness.
  • Participate in annual conferences and owner meetings in Quebec and English Canada and contribute as a presenter and contributor to the network's franchisees and affiliates.


Qualifications
  • CPA designation (CA, CMA or CGA);
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in management accounting;
  • Relevant experience in providing financial support to managers;
  • Excellent command of Excel, Power BI and Office suite;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Excellent analytical and synthesizing skills;
  • Oral and written fluency in French and English *
  • Available to travel outside Quebec occasionally for events.

*A good knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec. The incumbent will be required to communicate and collaborate frequently in English, both orally and in writing, with colleagues, customers, and other stakeholders in Quebec, the rest of Canada, and internationally.
