HiFyve is hiring a Corporate Process Engineer in the Chemical Manufacturing industry in Houston, TX!

Salary: $130,000-$150,000 + Bonus

Shift: Full-time, Exempt

Location: Houston, TX

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the company's subject matter expert in distillation and alkylation processes.
  • Optimize plant operations to enhance safety, quality, and productivity while reducing costs.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex, long-term manufacturing challenges affecting quality and efficiency.
  • Conduct plant trials and implement process improvements based on trial results.
  • Utilize process simulation software for process design, troubleshooting, and optimization.
  • Manage capital projects, including design, purchase, installation, and commissioning of equipment upgrades.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and provide training to plant personnel.
  • Participate in Process Hazard Analyses (PHA), Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR), and ensure follow-up on action items.
  • Support Responsible Care Management System compliance, including policy development and progress tracking.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, plant management, quality, and EHS&S teams at corporate and site levels.


Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Chemical Engineering (required)
  • Advanced coursework in engineering, management, or chemistry (preferred)


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • 5-10 years of chemical process engineering experience, specifically with distillation processes.
  • Proven ability to optimize, troubleshoot, and improve chemical plant operations.
  • Strong skills in designing and upgrading process systems.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience using process simulation software such as HYSYS, PRO II, or Aspen.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with AutoCAD and Microsoft Project preferred.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and effective teamwork abilities.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 10%.
  • Physical capability to navigate plant environments (climbing ladders, working at heights, lifting up to 50 lbs).
  • Must pass regular chemical dependency tests due to the safety-sensitive nature of the role.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis.
