Edelman Data & Intelligence (DxI) is looking for an inspiringSenior Manager,Human Intelligence,to join our team. The role will focus on providing insights and consultative support to our account teams to help drive business results for our clients.

Reporting to the Senior Director, Human Intelligence, the successful candidate will be a provenstrategicresearch professional who will utilize their experience in quantitative (e.g., surveys, polls) and qualitative (e.g., focus groups, in-depth interviews) methodologies, as well as secondary research, to contribute to the growth of our DxI specialty.

You have a solid research background and strong skills across the entire project lifecycle (scoping and costing, research design, project execution, data analysis, reporting, and presenting). You leverage your experience to drive the development of innovative and creative research methods, and uncover insights that provide clear direction in terms of communications planning and marketing related decision-making for our clients. You have excellent organizational and time management skills, unwavering attention to detail, strong abilities in PowerPoint and Excel, and bring a positive attitude to the workplace.

Responsibilities:
    • Provide strong client service and strategic counselto Edelman account teams and clients, with a collaborative, solutions-oriented approach.
    • Manage and oversee, with the support of junior staff, execution of researchinitiatives, including implementation of studies and responding to ad-hoc research requests.
    • Lead day-to-day project operations including: project status updates, support on proposal development, project and budget management, resource planning, etc.
    • Manage complex research projects from proposal development and pitching through to presentation of results and recommendations, ensuring high quality work is delivered on-time and on budget with the support of junior team members.
    • Effectively collaborate with external research vendors throughout the research process: data collection, data processing, and results reporting.
    • Effectively distill substantial amounts of data into coherent analysis, insights, and actionable recommendations in straight forward and story-telling focused way, communicating research findings in visually engaging PowerPoint presentations.
    • Deliver compelling strategic insights and effectively communicate a narrative/story that alignswith client business and communications objectives.
    • Identify opportunities to integrate primary and secondary research approaches to provide holistic research support to Edelman account teams and clients.
    • Create, build, and lead relationships with Edelman account teams and external clients to generate new Data & Intelligence business opportunities.
    • Provide inspiring leadership and mentorship for junior team members
    • Stay informed about client industries including their technologies, products, target markets and competitors.


Qualified candidates have most, if not all, of the following:
    • The Senior Manager, Human Intelligence, must have 5+years of relevant experience in market research, ideally from a research firm or a communications agency. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
    • Experience with the development of research approaches based on clearly defined objectives.
    • A demonstrated ability to think critically, solve problems, and develop a narrative based on data driven insights.
    • Strong project management skills, including timeline and budget development and management.
    • Advanced skills in Excel, and the ability to understand and maintain data integrity.
    • Strong PowerPoint design skills, with the ability to communicate data in a visually engaging way.
    • Experience with a broad range of methodologies and analytics approaches, including : brand health, mediagenic research, audience segmentation, driver analysis, campaign impact measurement, tracking research, and key message testing, among others.
    • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, as well as an openness to collaboration and new ideas.
    • Strategic yet creative thinker and self-starter, who is able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
