Position Specific Description
Gexa Energy is seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Project Manager to lead and manage integration and migration projects. This role involves overseeing complex tasks and ensuring the effective coordination of resources, schedule, and budget. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving project plans, ensuring seamless integration, and achieving project goals through excellent leadership and project management skills. This role is based in Houston, TX and will report to the Chase Center.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
Lead and motivate the project team to ensure they complete tasks and meet project goals.
Project Planning:
Develop detailed project plans, including scope, schedule, cost, resource, and risk management.
Scope Management:
Ensure that any changes to project scope are controlled and documented. Support strategic leadership in aligning processes across functions to ensure smooth and ease of execution.
Resource Management:
Identify resources and ensure they are actively participating in project deliverables.
Stakeholder Communication:
Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including program manager, team members, and executives. Ensure that stakeholders are kept informed about project progress, changes, and issues.
Continuous Improvement:
Promote and apply continuous improvement practices by identifying and implementing process improvements throughout the project and ensuring post-project reviews are conducted.

- Documentation: Establish comprehensive project documentation, including plans, status reports, meeting minutes, and change logs.
- Risk Management: Identify potential project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and manage risk throughout the project.
- Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve issues that may arise during the project, including conflicts, resource constraints, and technical challenges.
Scope Management:
Ensure that any changes to project scope are controlled and documented. Support strategic leadership in aligning processes across functions to ensure smooth and ease of execution.
Resource Management:

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Project Management, Computer Science, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Project Manager, especially in integration and migration projects.
- Experience in retail energy preferred.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and direct a team.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Leads and coordinates key functions such as financial feasibility analyses, engineering/design, project legal review, permitting activities and financial negotiations
- Coordinates due diligence activities with other internal groups to ensure proper analysis and structuring of assigned projects
- Acts as liaison between internal and external specialists regarding procurement, contracting, permitting and interconnection
- Constructs contractual arrangements for project development
- Negotiates agreements with consultants and subcontractors
- Ensures compliance with applicable technical and regulatory requirements
- Fosters external relationships with customers, third parties and members of the community
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
