Compensation: $160,000-$192,000 annually depending on experience
Our Senior Manager of Electrical and Controls Maintenance plays a vital role within the company and will contribute to the overall success and improved operations within Quikrete Cement. The ideal candidate will have electrical and technical aptitude, analyzing trends and monitoring equipment conditions to ascertain the appropriate maintenance interventions, both preventative and reactive. Supporting the reliability of cement manufacturing equipment, this role will help lead the development and execution of maintenance strategies to drive best-in-class reliability, performance, and life expectancy, at the lowest overall cost, while working to support and maintain production functions. This is accomplished using inspection, planning, and scheduling practices while taking into consideration the production requirements of the plant.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assists with further development, deployment, auditing, and training of the One Quikrete Cement Maintenance Model.
- Establish processes and systems to monitor equipment conditions through preventative maintenance and non-systematic inspections required by equipment stoppages, daily incidents, and pending turnarounds.
- Guides plant production and maintenance team in establishing weekly, monthly, and yearly downtime requirements and define interaction required between the different operation groups.
- Develop guidance for the planning and scheduling of all major turnarounds of electrical and controls equipment throughout the year and assists in the development of the yearly department budget, management, and follow-up once approved.
- Develop guidance, implement, and assess critical spare strategy for major pieces of equipment within manufacturing sites.
- Leads improvements and innovations within electrical maintenance organizations.
- Assists cement operations with evaluations of power distribution and control systems performance, useful remaining life, and replacement strategies.
- Ensure regular electrical equipment inspections and condition monitoring routines using Advanced Detection Techniques (Thermography, Ultrasonics, Transformer Oil Analysis, Motor Circuit Evaluation, etc.) are completed and corrective actions taken by organizational teams.
- Assist with establishment of technical training assessments and training programs for maintenance departments.
- Participate in establishing inspections for new installations of equipment.
- Provide technical expertise in specific areas of the cement plant, communicating effectively to various levels.
- Interact directly and regularly with production personnel regarding operating procedures that have impact on equipment.
- Ensures consistent entering of new equipment numbers and ensures the updating of equipment parts catalog within the CMMS.
- Participate in the budgeting process, providing advice in planning and scheduling of more costly maintenance activities.
- Remain current in concerns to advances in reliability technology and equipment through collaboration in the Quikrete Cement network and maintaining relationships with other practitioners and suppliers.
- Utilize Q-Maintenance to monitor activities and generate maintenance KPI's which measure the effectiveness of the maintenance programs. Reviews the maintenance KPI's on a monthly basis, analyzes them and suggests ways to improve performance.
- Remain active and knowledgeable in current safety regulations and guidelines, promoting overall plant safety.
- Other duties as required
Ability, Skills & Knowledge:
- 7 or more years' experience in heavy industrial maintenance or education equivalency
- Electrical Engineering and/or Controls System Engineering training or equivalent experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing - English required
- Must be able and willing to perform as a team member and within a team environment
- Possess solid leadership skills
- Be a motivated, self-starter, proactive and action oriented by character
- Ability to pass pre-employment screenings to include physical, background check, and drug screen
- Preferred: Post secondary level education from a two-year college, technical school, engineering school or equivalent program
- Proven background in a similar role within a cement / production-oriented environment
