Position Summary
Nuclear Medicine Physician/Diagnostic Radiologist
The Department of Radiology at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center is seeking applicants for a fellowship-trained Nuclear Medicine Physician/Diagnostic Radiologist. Discover what makes this remarkable academic medical center one of the best places to work in the Southwest!
As a member of our team of nationally recognized nuclear medicine radiologists and medical physicists, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to practice cutting-edge nuclear medicine, with optional opportunities to assist in other subspecialties according to interest or expertise. We provide the full range of nuclear medicine imaging services including Rb-82 cardiac PET, Ga-68 and Cu-64 DOTATATE PET, and F-18 PSMA PET. We collaborate closely with UNM's comprehensive cancer center, and we serve as a state-wide referral center for nuclear medicine therapies including I-131 hyperthyroid and thyroid cancer (with dosimetry available), Lu-177 PRRT for neuroendocrine tumors, and Pluvicto for prostate cancer.
Additional opportunities include participation in tumor boards and multidisciplinary conferences, as well as other interdisciplinary activities. Research opportunities are available and are encouraged. State-of-the-art 7T PET/MRI translational imaging and image processing facilities are available and research is supported by dedicated research staff. We are enhancing our system coverage in an ever-growing practice.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements for this position are as follows:
MD, DO, or equivalent
Eligible to work in the U.S.
Able to obtain state licensure in the state of New Mexico by date of hire
American Board of Radiology (ABR) board certified or board eligible in Diagnostic Radiology by contract start date
Board certified or Board eligible in Nuclear Medicine (ABNM) or Nuclear Radiology (ABR CAQ) by contract start date

Preferred Qualifications are as follows:
- Additional experience, interest, or fellowship training in Abdominal Imaging, Emergency Radiology, Cardiothoracic Radiology, Neuroradiology, or Ultrasound.
- Proficiency in oversight and interpretation of the full range of adult and pediatric diagnostic nuclear medicine studies including general nuclear medicine, PET/CT, SPECT/CT and nuclear cardiology studies.
- Experience in therapeutic nuclear medicine/theranostics
- A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities
