As Fleet Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for all major transportation vendor partnerships, which includes all negotiations and purchases. This includes local market vendor engagement in addition to national brand corporate engagement with Volvo, Peterbilt, Freightliner, and others.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Direct and coordinate all fleet purchasing and oversite.
- Assist in strategic planning, budgeting, and ensuring the efficient and cost-effective use of trucks, trailers, and other fleet equipment.
- Partner with all Dot locations to ensure new and existing equipment follows local, state, and federal regulations.
- Staying up to date on industry trends in fast-changing technology, emissions, regulations, safety equipment, and more.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers and vendor partners.
- Leads continuous improvement efforts while applying lean thinking and tools to eliminate waste.
YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent Dot Foods' experience.
- Experience with vendor engagement and negotiation.
- Transportation experience of industry assets, truck and trailers.
- Clear written verbal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of local state and federal regulation for the Department of Transportation.
- Ability to engage with all levels of the organization.
YOU MAY ALSO HAVE
- Previous experience in sales and negotiations.
- Budgeting/expense management experience.
ROLE SPECIFICS
- Travel -3-4 days per month to vendors, distribution centers or industry events. Must have ability to travel independently as needed, without restriction by all modes of transportation, including car, plane, or train.
