QUALIFICATIONS:
REPORTS TO: Superintendent
JOB GOAL: To plan, direct, and coordinate the implementation, deployment and operation of information systems. Maintain computer repair service, district networks, and supervise district network and field support staff.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee the operation of the IT department and ensure it aligns with the educational and business objectives. Formulate and deploy long-term IT strategies for acquiring and enabling efficient and cost effective technologies. Manage IT operating and millage budgets. Develop and implement IT policies and procedures. Coordinate, supervise and schedule the installation and maintenance of district information systems. Provide escalated onsite support of critical systems. Manage, design, configure and install network and security infrastructure. Manage network switches, routers, firewalls, proxies, intrusion detection/prevention (IPS), SSL VPN, and filter appliances. Oversee and manage all IT Support Technicians, System Administrators, Network Engineers, Applications Team, Help Desk Specialist, and Telecommunication Technicians. Order and stock all parts needed to repair computers and printers. Responsible for managing the installation and life-cycle maintenance of PCs, servers, and LAN network connectivity equipment. Interface with vendors, other outside companies and agencies. Provide own transportation for service calls. Standard mileage reimbursement for personal car usage will apply according to PCSSD's Business Procedure Manual. Manage IT Millage and Operating Budgets Administer the operation of all LAN/WAN related network services according to district policies and procedures. Direct and manage the daily activities of the Project Manager, Library Media/Technology Facilitator, Student Information Systems (SIS) Team, Field Support Technicians, Network Engineers, Help Desk Manager, Data Center Administrators, Cybersecurity, Telecommunications and Low Voltage Cabling teams. Manage IT department operational and strategic planning, including business requirements, data management, project planning, and allocation of resources. Work with instructional staff in the formulation of written policies for the evaluation, selection, and purchase of instructional software and hardware. Establish district-wide standards for hardware and software to ensure quality, functionality, connectivity, and compatibility. Member of the superintendent's cabinet charged with working collectively with other district level leaders to provide the superintendent input on operational issues. Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs. Perform other duties as assigned.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Salary Range: Range 15 - Support Staff Daily Salary Schedule (337.79.80/day - $475.02/day - depending on relevant experience)
Length of Contract: 244 contract days
FLSA Status: Exempt

Performance of this job will be evaluated according to provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Support Staff Personnel.

- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent job experience
- Professional certifications preferred
- Knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 technologies
- Experience in LAN, WAN, and WLAN implementations
- Knowledge of Microsoft Server implementation and support.
- Knowledge of Google Workspace for centralized user and device management
- Five (5) years experience managing IT operations and staff
- Must have a strong dedication to customer service
