Your Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced IT Manager & Systems Administrator to lead our IT team and play a crucial hands-on role in maintaining and optimizing our critical IT infrastructure. This is a hybrid role requiring strong leadership skills to manage the IT team, coupled with deep technical expertise to perform system administration tasks within our SaaS environment. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with a passion for technology and a proven ability to ensure the reliability, security, and efficiency of our IT operations.

IT Management & Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and manage the IT team, including help desk support, network administration, and potentially other IT functions.
- Set team goals, priorities, and performance expectations aligned with the company's overall objectives.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment, promoting continuous learning and professional development.
- Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure security, compliance, and operational efficiency.
- Oversee IT projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders across the organization regarding IT initiatives, issues, and performance.
- Stay abreast of the latest technology trends and evaluate their potential impact on the company.
Systems Administration (Hands-on)
- Manage and maintain the company's core IT infrastructure, networking equipment (routers, switches, firewalls), storage systems, and cloud-based services (AWS).
- Administer and troubleshoot operating systems (Mac OS, Windows, Chrome OS), directory services (Okta), and email systems (Google Workspace).
- Manage hardware maintenance, software updates, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans.
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, VPN).
- Automate routine tasks and processes.
- Monitor system performance and proactively identify and resolve potential issues.
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for complex IT issues.
- Participate in on-call rotation for critical system outages.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in IT, with at least 2-3 years in a management or team lead role.
Technical Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with system administration in a mixed environment.
- In-depth knowledge of networking principles, protocols, and security best practices.
- Experience managing cloud-based infrastructure and services (AWS preferred).
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of IT best practices and security principles.
- Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Experience working in a SaaS environment is highly desirable.
Soft Skills
- Excellent communication, customer service and presentation skills.
- Proven experience in managing IT teams.
- The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, Network+, Server+, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate).
- Experience with ITIL framework.
- Knowledge of ISO 27001 and NIST frameworks.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools.
