The Precision Guidance Sensing Solutions Product Line is seeking a uniquely qualified and motivated individual to provide Value Stream Specialist leadership in a growing factory, supporting the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) program. This individual will be responsible for front line daily leadership for the sub-assembly lines in THAAD. The position will be responsible for direct management of the touch and test labor team and will be an integrator across the cross functional team in achieving program objectives (including safety, cost, schedule, and quality) and organizing daily execution.

Key Responsibilities:
- Hiring, training, and supervising a staff of operators to build and test THAAD sub-assemblies across multiple shifts.
- Working with cross-functional representatives including production planning and control, total quality management, systems, manufacturing, equipment and facilities engineering, material management, and process engineering to execute WIP management.
- Interaction with internal and/or external customers with respect to factory status and facility tours.
- Identifying opportunities for improvement and organizing resources to execute improvements.
- Develop staffing plans for cross-training and first shift coverage.

Required Skills and Education
- Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of work experience within manufacturing or in absence of degree, 5-8 years of work experience within manufacturing.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
- Sound interpersonal skills involving interfacing, coordinating and negotiating with company personnel, customers and suppliers.
Preferred Skills and Education
- Prior manufacturing leadership experience is preferred to independently manage a production environment including assembly, integration and testing.
- Experience in US defense industry manufacturing operations is highly desirable for this position.
- Demonstrated experience in implementing change in manufacturing areas.
- Experience with Lean Systems and/or Six Sigma, continuous improvements, 5S and meeting compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with cleanroom protocols and procedures, including gowning, cleaning, and sanitizing.
