Position Summary
This position functions as the principal Regional Stormwater Management, Erosion Control and Noise Program Engineer for the Southeast Region. This position has extensive authority in decision making. The position provides advice and guidance to regional staff on policies, rules, regulations and guidelines for all stormwater, erosion control and noise related issues. This position will provide oversight of regional liaison activities with Project Development Sections (PDS), Bureau of Technical Services (BTS), Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and other Department of Transportation (DOT) divisions and regions.
The position performs the highest degree of independent discretion and judgement, providing engineering guidance and assistance and serves as a resource and advisor to staff, project managers, project leaders, management, consultants, contractors, municipalities, and public officials.
The positions will develop and implement new or revised storm water management and erosion control procedures and methods for transportation improvement projects. Develop and implement the WDNR/WDOT cooperative agreement provisions for storm water discharges. Perform hydraulic analysis of streams, culverts, ditches, bridges, and other wetland areas.
Salary Information
This position is in schedule-range (14-13) with an annual salary of $90,064-$108,950, plus excellent benefits. A twelve month probationary period is required. Pay for current state employees will be set in accordance with the Wisconsin State Compensation Plan.
