Description:
AHCA/NCAL is seeking a Senior Vice President of Reimbursement Policy to improve lives by delivering solutions for quality care as the senior executive responsible for leading the Association's reimbursement policy analysis. This includes policy formation, strategy development, and advocacy for the post-acute and long term care profession.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelors Degree required. Graduate degree or professional certification or license preferred. Minimum of 15 years work experience in health care finance/reimbursement policy-related field
Duties & Responsibilities:
Serves as the Assocation's chief regulatory strategist and analyst on reimbursement issues pertaining to Medicare and Medicaid payment to skilled nursing and assisted living facilities. Provides extensive guidance and information to Assocation members on these issues. Represents the Association and the sector before the Administration, Members of Congress and Congressional staff. Leads the Association's Medicare Part A annual payment rule process. Provides expert policy development and guidance on Medicare and Medicaid managed care issues for the sector. Provides leadership for the Association's activites to promote population health management and provide our members with the opportunity to participate in PHM to the greatest extent possible. Develops and promotes federal Medicaid proposals and assist state affiliates in advancing state-level Medicaid policy solutions. Provide leadership and supervision for Reimbursement Policy department staff. Provides staffing and support to the Assocation's Reimbursement Council, Reimbursement Committee and Population Health Management Council. Presents to AHCA Board of Governors, NCAL Board of Directors and other committes and councils as needed. Prepares and monitors the annual departmental budget. Manages contracts and contract staff working on reimbursement issues. Develops contracts needed to advance Association's policy work and technical assistance to members. Other duties as assigned.
