Position Summary
Our Calgary office has an exciting opportunity for a mid-level labour & employment associate to join the firm's dynamic and entrepreneurial practice representing premier national and international employers. This opportunity is ideal for associates who are proactive and passionate about providing legal service within a sophisticated practice and who are seeking to assume a significant role in all aspects of labour and employment law. This role requires extensive contact with clients, adjudicators, governmental agencies and opposing counsel as well as associates and partners within the local office and abroad.
Duties include, but are not limited to: performing applications, pleadings, court appearances, arbitrations, labour board and tribunal hearings, legal research, drafting of legal memoranda, questionings, examinations, investigations, and counseling clients.
The right candidate will have a passion for employment and labour law, strong analytical and writing skills, and an ability to relate to exceptional clients. This is a great opportunity for the right lawyer to join a national and international practice in a collaborative and cohesive environment.

Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) or Bachelor of Law (LLB). Qualified candidates must be in good standing with the Law Society of Alberta or equivalent Canadian law society and maintain this status during employment.
- Excellent analytical, writing and communication skills are required.
