Key Responsibilities
We are seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to lead and manage project teams while ensuring the highest standards of design and coordination. This role offers an exciting opportunity for professional growth within a dynamic and collaborative environment.
- Team Leadership: Supervise engineering and drafting teams to ensure project objectives are met efficiently.
- Design Excellence: Develop and oversee structural designs for various projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Project Coordination: Serve as the primary liaison for internal team collaboration and external communication with architects, MEP consultants, and other disciplines.
- Construction Administration: Manage construction phase activities, including shop drawing reviews, RFIs (Requests for Information), site visits, and OAC (Owner-Architect-Contractor) meetings.
- Documentation: Prepare detailed specifications, calculations, reports, and correspondence to support project goals.
- Site Observations: Conduct site visits during construction phases to ensure adherence to design intent and quality standards.
Your Impact

- Ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget while maintaining design integrity.
- Contribute to long-term planning initiatives by providing expert insights into structural assessments and maintenance strategies.
Education and Work Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering (Master's degree preferred).
- Professional Engineering (PE) license in Florida.
- Minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in structural engineering; leadership experience preferred.
- Proficiency in state building codes and design standards such as ASCE, AISC, ACI, MSJC, NDS.
- Expertise in structural analysis tools like ETABS, SAFE, RISA, RAM, ENERCALC.
- Strong knowledge of designing with steel, concrete, masonry, wood materials.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
