Senior Cloud Operations Engineer

Responsible and accountable for the company's Online Product portfolio;
Ensure products and services are constantly available for our customers to use to run their businesses;
Participate in bridging the technical gaps between Development and Business Operations by deploying, administering, improving infrastructure, and improving automation using cloud technologies;
Responsible for working with a team to ensure products and services remain available, secure and performant;
Leverage deep understanding and experience of working in a DevOps or SRE environment;
Demonstrate automation experience and multiple CI/CD implementations, working closely with product delivery teams, influencing their approach and design by deploying, administering, monitoring, and improving their service;
Identify direct and indirect key partnerships required for each assigned project and/or operational deliverable and ensure their participation;
Lead and resolve any service incidents that may arise and drive root cause analysis for those issues; and
Quickly analyze, assess and contribute to technical decisions.
Telecommuting permitted up to 100%.
Key Responsibilities
Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT Infrastructure, Cloud Computing, Management Information Systems, or related field and 1 year of experience in the job offered or in a Senior Cloud Operations Engineer-related occupation.
In the alternative, the employer will accept no degree and 5 years of experience in the job offered or in a Senior Cloud Operations Engineer-related occupation.
The position requires demonstrated experience in the following:
Articulating complex technical issues in simple terms when communicating with non-technical audience or company business stakeholders;
Utilizing operating systems including Windows or MacOS to execute job duties;
Scripting knowledge for task automation using programs including PowerShell, Bash, Ruby or Python;
Utilizing DevOps and SRE activities including software and system engineering and toil reduction to support and maintain products;
Building and maintaining Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD processes;
Programmatically capture infrastructure as code for AWS utilizing tools including Terraform and CloudFormation;
Programmatically capture infrastructure as code for Azure utilizing ARM or Bicep;
Deploying applications in AWS and Azure that are using distributed computing, containers, and server-less technologies using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions;
Performing task automation, increasing efficiencies, costs savings and service reliability improvements;
Utilizing observability tools including NewRelic or SumoLogic;
Utilizing service management tools including ServiceNow or Atlassion, Jira, Confluence, or Atlassian Service Desk to conduct service management activities;
Working with SDLC functional disciplines including QA, Development, and Design to continually improve products;
Working with Agile methodologies including Kanban or Scrum;
