Under the direction of the Radiology Administrator and Clinical Director, the Mammography Technologist will perform diagnostic or screening mammograms to patients at our flagship Family Health Center; El Nuevo San Juan.

Position will be based out of our Bronx Family Health Center: El Nuevo San Juan. Monday to Friday 8:00am-5:00pm. Every other Saturday with additional day off during M-F.

Job Requirements
Under the direction of the Radiology Administrator and Clinical Director, the Mammography Technologist will perform diagnostic or screening mammograms to patients at our flagship Family Health Center; El Nuevo San Juan.
Minimum Qualifications:
- ARRT Mammography Certification.
- NYS DOH Radiology Technician License
- Knowledge of Digital 3-D and Quality Control highly desired.
- Completion of 2 years from Accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
- 1-2 years of related experience.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is strongly preferred.
Key Duties:
- Complete patient education regarding the exam, promote patient privacy and comfort.
- Perform diagnostic or screening mammography as ordered. Completes appropriate documentation.
- Prepares and assists the Radiologist in the completion of intricate mammography examinations
- Produce high quality films for the radiologist to evaluation, pays attention to detail.
- Performs quality control functions related to mammography.
- Assists in compilation and maintenance of statistical data.
- Follow infection control and safety guidelines.
- Demonstrate understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
- Maintain a high degree of accuracy in mammography positioning and exposure technique.
- Serves as primary liaison between patients, Radiologists and other members of the support team.
- Participates in continuing education and learning experiences to enhance and maintain current knowledge and skills for continued competence.
- Perform all duties using proper body mechanics, including manual dexterity and fine motor coordination.
