Department Overview
We are seeking a surgeon for Bariatric and General Surgery to serve the efforts of OHSU and Hillsboro Medical Center (HMC) in improving the health of all Oregonians. This position will serve as an OHSU Clinical Associate providing clinical care at Hillsboro Medical Center located in Hillsboro, Oregon. OHSU Clinical Associates are fully embedded physician and advanced practice provider members of the OHSU Practice Plan (OPP) who deliver care at OHSU-affiliated settings and devote 100 percent of their time to patient care.
Function/Duties of Position
Clinical: Serve as a general surgeon with an emphasis on bariatric procedures. Duties will include both ambulatory care and surgical procedures. Fair share of call coverage is expected, commensurate with HMC practices.
Administration: Participate in educational/proctoring activities at HMC in conjunction with clinical need and academic interests. Administrative and other duties may be assigned based on department needs and areas of expertise.

Work schedule must be flexible between the hours of 6:00am and 6:00 pm. Must be able to work in both a clinic and office environment as well as travel to the Operating Room. Must be able to ride the OHSU tram.

Required Qualifications
- MD/DO-Board Certified in General Surgery
- Experience in bariatric surgery
- Competency in minimally invasive surgery
- OR Medical License
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Cardiology/Cardiovascular Diseases.
- DEA Certificate
- ACLS/BLS as required for clinical privileges.
