Are you a data-driven professional with a passion for turning complex information into actionable insights? The Squamish Nation is seeking a Data Analyst to join our team and play a key role in supporting data-driven decision-making. Reporting to the Strategic Operations Manager, you will transform data into clear, goal-driven reports and help shape strategies that benefit our community. What You'll Do
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
  • Develop insightful reports and analysis to support decision-making.
  • Ensure data integrity and normalization across systems.
  • Generate reports from single or multiple data sources.
  • Design and implement databases, analytics tools, and strategies to enhance efficiency.
  • Collaborate with leadership to prioritize data needs and improve processes.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements based on data findings.
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative research as needed.

What We're Looking For
  • A combination of education and experience in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Data Analyst or in a related role.
  • Strong knowledge of data models, reporting tools, and database management.
  • Proficiency in Excel (advanced), Python or R, Power BI, and SQL (intermediate).
  • Ability to analyze large datasets and extract meaningful insights.
  • Experience in qualitative and quantitative research methods.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to communicate complex data findings clearly.
  • Cultural awareness and respect for Indigenous values and knowledge systems (knowledge of Squamish Nation is a plus).
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset.

Salary: $75,000 - $112,500

Candidates are typically offered compensation between the beginning to the midpoint of the range. We are committed to providing a fair and equitable package that reflects the value an individual brings to the organization.
