We're looking for a Child Protective Services (CPS)/Family Assessment Response (FAR) Social Service Supervisor 5 (SSS5) in Region 4, Kent - King Southeast Office. The KSE office is seeking a strong, motivated, and collaborative leader to head a unit of CPS/FAR Social Service Specialists. The KSE is a unique office that is comprised of all front-end service units including CPS investigations, CPS Family Assessment Response, and Family Voluntary Services. The Opportunity:
In this role, you will use your strong assessment and engagement skills to supervise Social Service Specialists in the CPS/FAR unit. As a front-line supervisor, you will provide staff with advanced-level guidance and specialized case management knowledge to accomplish agency goals of child protection, permanency planning, and enhancing child well-being. The unit supervisor is responsible for providing regular, thorough clinical reviews and consultation on all assigned cases to assist Social Service Specialists in providing high-quality service delivery, maintaining a steady focus on child safety using the Child Safety Framework. This position is responsible for maintaining current knowledge of applicable laws, rules, and policies on the delivery of child welfare services within Washington State. In this role, you will teach, guide, and mentor Social Service Specialists ensuring child safety is at the forefront of all decision-making.
