Job Summary
We are currently seeking a lean practitioner and a change agent to fill our Value Stream Leader role for our Macomb, MI Location. The Value Stream Leader will be responsible for planning, directing, and executing all activities for a designated program or customer to optimize profitability goals and objectives.
The Value Stream Leader will lead the coordinated activities in the business across multiple function consisting of Program Management, Engineering, Quality, Operations, Supply chain - both domestic and international low-cost sourcing to drive the progress forward.

Duties/Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a roadmap dedicated to the designated program with profitability goals and objectives for the year.
- Champions business excellence by leading the transformation, education and culture change in all departments.
- Drives a continuous Improvement mentality across all areas of program, actively leading and or participating in Lean activities to drive performance efficiencies.
- Leads decision making for the HPT (High Performance Teams) and applies critical thinking where incomplete data exists.
- Develops internal and external networks and communicates vision to HPT and stakeholders within and outside of the function.
- Provides input & drives projects to support the strategic plans.
- Frequent communications and project updates to the senior management across TRIUMPH and possibly at quarterly customer business reviews
- Leads process improvements that meet business needs, manage complex issues within functional areas of expertise, becomes involved in long-term strategic and operational planning, and contributes to the overall performance of the business
- Supports, strengthens, and evolves the High-Performance Team (HPT) structure.
- Leads projects, utilizing Kaizen, Lean and Six Sigma tools to drive improvements in all facets of the program.
- Provides event follow-up to monitor the progress of planned improvement implementation to assure timely action, appropriate support, and achievement of expected tangible benefits.
- Performs other various duties as needed or assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Operations, Business or related field required; Advanced degree preferred combined with operational experience
- Minimum of 10 years' manufacturing/Lean/production/integrated supply chain experience
- Demonstrated leadership and management skills, including ability to effectively coach, motivate, empower, develop and evaluate employees and team leaders.
- Strategic, operational and bottom-line focus
- Strong manufacturing and process background including Lean Manufacturing, Voice of the Customer, and related expertise
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively interact with all levels of external and internal customers.
- Effective verbal/written communication and presentation skills.
- Strong bias for action, and effective change agent.
- Proficiency in managing and facilitating teams through problem solving and conflict resolutions.
- Ability to successfully manage multiple priorities
- Effective leadership, finance, influencing, communication and presentational skill.
- Business savvy and cultural/transnational sensitivity
- Effective Change Agent and Value-Added perspective skills.
- Strong collaborative capabilities.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to walk, stand, and sit for a period of time.
- Ability to remain seated for long periods of time while working on a computer or documentation, etc.

- Must be capable of withstanding long period of viewing data on a computer screen and/or in paper format.
