The Strategy and Research Group (SRG) at New York Life Real Estate Investors (NYLREI) provides reconnaissance, research, analysis, and interpretation to render opinions, and convey advice and recommendation to the equity, debt, and CMBS investment teams as well as asset, loan, and portfolio management and business development. SRG synthesizes data to create specialized outlooks for investment strategies with a focus on risk mitigation and portfolio diversification. Continuous evaluation of real-time data is integral to the success of our investment strategies. The group publishes white papers, quarterly reports and yearly outlooks.
The Strategy and Research Group (SRG) is seeking a highly motivated Associate to join the team. The Associate will support SRG analysts and contribute to a wide range of research and strategy initiatives. This role offers a strong foundation for a long-term career in commercial real estate and economics.

Salary Range: $62,500-$107,500
Overtime eligible: Exempt
Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes
Sales bonus eligible: No
Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.

What You'll Do:
- Support Strategy and Research Group analysts and will be involved in all aspects of SRG tasks
- Prepare charts, tables, and presentations; conduct data research and retrieval; support financial modeling and investment analysis; and contribute to internal and external memoranda and reports
- Create charts, tables, and custom PowerPoint presentations for internal and external audiences
- Work on ad hoc and special projects as needed
- Assist in writing white papers
- This position offers an outstanding opportunity to develop a solid career in commercial real estate and economics
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree with a strong academic record, preferably with a concentration in Finance, Economics, or Real Estate
- Demonstrated interest in economics and commercial real estate, with intellectual curiosity and a commitment to a long-term career in the field
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and technical skills, with a clear and creative problem-solving approach and excellent research capabilities
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly and concisely
- Highly motivated, proactive, and detail-oriented; able to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines while producing high-quality work
- Team player with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and the ability to collaborate effectively; proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with key commercial real estate asset classes (office, retail, multifamily, industrial, etc.)
