Description:

Amazon Retail Salesforce team is looking for a motivated Software Engineer. Our team builds and maintains a scalable and efficient platform that provides capabilities for recruitment and account management services worldwide for Amazon Vendors. This is a high visibility project building new integrations between NAWS tooling and our Salesforce Integration Layer, ensuring we make the right tradeoffs to move quickly while maintaining a high bar for customers. You will build highly secured, scalable, extendable, and performant solutions. Working closely with product and tech teams, you will design, build, test, iterate and deploy new features, system integrations, and enhancements to existing features. This position will include working end to end on our services and provides opportunities to grow as a full stack software developer on a team that is constantly looking to improve and optimize our capabilities for our customers.

Key job responsibilities

As a software development engineer on this team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the definition, vision, design, roadmap and development of product features from beginning to end. You will:

-\tWork with the team to help solve business problems.

-\tDesign, implement, test, deploy and maintain innovative software solutions to transform service performance, durability, cost, and security.

-\tUse software engineering best practices to ensure a high standard of quality for all of the team deliverables.

-\tWrite high quality distributed system software.

-\tWork in an agile, startup-like development environment, where you are always working on the most important stuff.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

- Experience programming with at least one software programming language

- 3+ years of big data technologies such as AWS, Hadoop, Spark, Pig, Hive, Lucene/SOLR or Storm/Samza experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
