This position requires deep subject matter expertise, advanced analytical skills, and the ability to advise on highly technical and specialized issues that impact mission-critical functions. The ideal candidate will be capable of addressing complex problems that demand doctorate-level knowledge of the subject matter and will contribute to the creation of high-level documentation and guidance used across the force.

Prevailance is seeking an experienced and mission-driven Doctrine Writer to provide expert-level support in the development, review, and integration of doctrine, policy, and strategy within complex operational environments. This position requires deep subject matter expertise, advanced analytical skills, and the ability to advise on highly technical and specialized issues that impact mission-critical functions. The ideal candidate will be capable of addressing complex problems that demand doctorate-level knowledge of the subject matter and will contribute to the creation of high-level documentation and guidance used across the force.
Key Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Provide extremely high-level subject matter expertise in support of task order requirements, particularly in areas requiring advanced doctrine development and technical analysis
- Apply deep functional knowledge to assess, design, and implement solutions to highly specialized applications and unique operational environments
- Conduct high-level functional systems analysis, integration, and design, and provide implementation advice for complex challenges
- Deliver strategic insight and recommendations on esoteric and emerging issues that require extensive domain-specific knowledge
- Author and edit comprehensive technical reports, studies, white papers, and supporting documentation to inform leadership and guide decision-making
- Develop and present charts, graphs, briefings, and training materials that communicate technical findings, doctrinal updates, and policy changes to various stakeholders
- Participate in and facilitate stakeholder engagements, working groups, and other collaborative events to refine and align doctrine with operational needs and emerging threats
- Support the continuous improvement and modernization of doctrine and policy to maintain alignment with strategic priorities and warfighting capabilities
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Minimum of five (5) years experience in doctrine writing, military operations, and policy development is required; ten (10) or more years of experience is highly desired
- Demonstrated experience in the development, review, and implementation of doctrine, policy, or strategic guidance within DoD, Joint, or Service-level organizations
- Proven ability to conduct advanced research and analysis, translate findings into authoritative guidance, and communicate recommendations to senior leadership
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare and deliver technical documentation, training materials, and high-level presentations
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, collaborative platforms, and tools necessary for creating and disseminating doctrine and policy documents
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field is required
- Master's or Doctorate strongly preferred based on task complexity
Clearance:
- Active or ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
