WHERE YOU COME IN

We are looking for a Sr Manager, Business Applications to join our team at Make-A-Wish Canada. Reporting to the Director of Business Applications, you will oversee the daily operations of our Salesforce CRM and related solutions, ensuring their optimal performance and reliability. Leading a team of skilled direct reports, this role will deliver successful development projects from inception to completion, coordinating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that meet business needs.

This role will oversee data management activities, including complex data integrations and data cleansing, ensuring adherence to organizational standards. Strong leadership, project management, and technical skills are essential to drive success in this dynamic and impactful position.

This role can be based in any Make-A-Wish Canada office and is a full-time, hybrid, 12-month contract position.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Manage a team to support the user community, resolving system, process, and data-related issues while adhering to established performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with Technology leadership to identify opportunities for leveraging Salesforce to improve business processes.
  • Oversees all Salesforce administrative functions, including user account maintenance, workflows, reports and dashboards, scheduled jobs, and other routine tasks.
  • Direct the assessment, scope, and execution of new development projects within the planned project portfolio and timelines.
  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of changes to our Salesforce and related solutions, ensuring adherence to change control protocols to maintain existing functionality and data integrity.
  • Lead the design and development of system and data integration, automating processes where feasible, and continually maintaining data integrity. Ensure data integrity and accuracy across the Salesforce platform.
  • Oversee regular internal system audits, manage release updates, and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity controls.
  • Provide technical expertise in CRM best practices, business process design, data management, and the applicable functional capabilities of the Salesforce platform, while identifying opportunities for the organization with each new functionality release.
  • Maintain and nurture relationships with business users, vendors, and development partners.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to ensure users are proficient with Salesforce tools and features.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the Salesforce team.
  • Other duties as assigned.


WHAT YOU BRING
  • Post-secondary education in an Information Technology-related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • 5+ years of experience administering, developing, and providing direct end-user support in a Salesforce environment, preferably with Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP).
  • 3+ years of experience leading teams in administrative services and development projects.
  • 2+ years of experience managing complex data integrations and data management activities.
  • Salesforce Administrator certification required. Advanced Administrator, Architect, and Developer certifications are an asset.
  • Proficient in Office 365 with expert-level skills in Excel.
  • Experience in the following technologies is an asset: Salesforce Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP), Form Assembly, Demand Tools, Omatic Cloud, and Canadian Tax Receipting app.
  • Experience using Salesforce DevOps Center or GitHub or equivalent release management software is an asset.
  • Project management experience and certification are considered valuable assets.
  • A demonstrated ability to understand and articulate complex requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle and prioritize simultaneous requests.
  • Ability to communicate both written and orally in English; French is an asset.
  • A clear Criminal Background Check is required.


YOUR WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Hybrid work environment (2 days in-office, 3 days remote per week) with occasional requirement to work outside of traditional office hours.
  • Occasional day and/or overnight travel.

  • Work under pressure of tight deadlines, with a high-volume workload, and with multiple demands & changing priorities.
