Job Summary:
The Department of Anesthesiology at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a full-time Pediatric Anesthesiologist / Clinical Associate Professor (GFT). The successful candidate will:
- Provide anesthesia care to pediatric and adult patients.
- Participate in clinical operating room supervision, classroom teaching, and evaluations for residents and medical students as required by the department.
- Mentor students/residents in research and scholarly activities.
- Participate in administrative duties and on call assignments as required by the department clinical service:
- Inpatient care of neonates at University Hospital Brooklyn (UHB) in operating room and out-of-operating room locations, plus ambulatory patients at UHB.
- Provide call coverage as required.
Required Qualifications:
- New York State Medical License.
- Successful completion of training in an ACGME/accredited Anesthesiology Residency Program.
- Board Certified or Board eligible Anesthesiologist.
- Pediatric Fellowship-trained or equivalent and Pediatric Board Certified.
