The Position:
FanDuel Sports Network is looking for an experienced Director of Crewing Operations to add to our roster. Reporting directly to the VP of Technical Operations, this role will oversee all aspects of crewing operations for the Regional Sports Networks (RSNs) with a strong focus on union labor relations. This role is responsible for managing crewing logistics, assisting in the preparation of and participating in union negotiations, resolving union grievances, and ensuring compliance with current collective bargaining agreements (CBAs). The Director of Crewing Operations will play a pivotal role in fostering positive relationships with the local unions and labor organizations while providing support and guidance to all the RSNs regarding crewing and union matters.
This position will work closely with the VPs of Production, Coordinating Producers, Operations Directors, and Finance and Human Resources partners.

The Company is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base compensation range for this role is $110,000 - $130,000. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidates' relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.

The Game Plan:
(What you will do)
- Act as primary liaison with union representatives and assist in developing strategies for labor contract negotiations.
- Ensure strict compliance with collective bargaining agreements and employment regulations.
- Foster collaborative relationships with union leaders by proactively addressing labor-related concerns and resolving disputes.
- Analyze labor-related issues, grievances, and contract interpretation matters, and provide recommendations and solutions to the VP of Operations and President of Production.
- Manage union contracts, to include tracking expirations, scheduling meetings to begin discussions leading to negotiation dates, and keeping all rate cards current.
- Collaborate with 3rd party crewing & payroll vendors.
- Work with Main Street Sports Group Finance & Special Services on payroll and benefits management, onboarding process, and creating policies and workflow procedures.
- Maintain & nurture relationships with crewing vendors and crewing manager workflows.
- Collaborate with Human Resources partners on incident reporting and management.
- Follow up on crewing feedback and training development.
- Ensure new above the line and below the line employees understand the company's travel policies.
National Crewing Operations
- Provide operational support, leadership, and guidance to all RSNs on crewing logistics, payroll, and union matters.
- Lead best practices and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for crewing across all RSNs.
- Ensure crewing information is organized and shared efficiently across all RSNs.
- Oversee third-party crewing management for RSNs to ensure cost-effective and efficient practices.
- Partner with the payroll vendor (XLT) to optimize workflows, establish best practices, and troubleshoot payroll-related issues.
- Continually assess crewing processes and implement improvements for efficiency and effectiveness.
The Stats:
(What to bring)
- Bachelor's degree (Communications, Broadcasting, Radio/TV/Film, or related preferred).
- 10+ years of labor relations experience, preferably in broadcast production.
- 10+ years of experience in crewing, live event production, and/or technical operations.
- Deep knowledge of IATSE and IBEW contracts and terminology.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. for equipment transportation when necessary.
