Job Description:

We are searching for the best talent for Senior Manager, International Policy to be in Washington, DC.

Purpose: The Senior Manager, International Policy, is responsible for analyzing international policy issues and advocating with industry associations and governments on issues impacting Johnson & Johnson's business priorities. The successful candidate will provide subject matter expertise and develop background and communications in close coordination with cross-functional teams and global industry associations.

You will be responsible for:
  • Identify and analyze potential policy-related threats and opportunities that could impact international business priorities.
  • Develop background and advocacy materials for use by cross-sector colleagues and senior business leaders.
  • Work cross-functionally to develop advocacy strategics in alignment with legal, communications, and government affairs colleagues
  • Represent J&J in global industry associations, international organizations, and with governments on international issues.
  • Support global engagement of J&J executives


Qualifications / Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree required.A postgraduate degree is preferred
  • A minimum of 8+ years of experience in policy analysis and advocacy with subject matter expertise in international business or economics.
  • Experience in healthcare, particularly in medical devices and/or pharmaceuticals, is strongly preferred.
  • Experience working in the private sector is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and lead internal teams is required
  • Strategic thinking required
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize
  • Ability to build relationships based on trust, integrity and inclusiveness
  • Intellectual flexibility to continually develop and learn new skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills especially over departmental and geographical boundaries
  • Ability to create clear, logical, compelling and concise documents and positions and articulate them effectively
  • Committed to ethical business practices; Excellent collaboration and communication skills
  • Domestic travel up to 10% is expected
