Job Summary
Under the direction of Pharmacy Director, this role is responsible for setting the direction and coordinating the business operations and technology activities of the Department of Pharmacy. Drawing on a broad understanding of hospital practices and demonstrating a high degree of initiative and independent judgment, the incumbent will collaborate closely with departmental and organizational leadership to continually assess and address a wide range of issues, including operational, personnel, budgetary, information technology, EHR systems, EHR program development, long-range planning, and project development. The incumbent will work with both clinical and non-clinical staff members to optimize operational and cost efficiencies wherever possible.

Experience
- Experience with software platforms supporting operation and financial management.
Education
- PHD required.
- Graduate of an ACPE accredited College of Pharmacy with Doctor of Pharmacy degree.
License & Certifications
- Licensed MA Pharmacist.
- IT and/or software-related certification or degree is preferred.
Additional Requirements
- Thorough knowledge of the healthcare environment, particularly as it relates to information systems and regulatory compliance management.
- Ability to maintain discretion.
- Sound understanding of computer system design and working knowledge of the Hospital Pharmacy Systems.
- Working knowledge of software support programs (IV Verification, Firefox, Omnicell, SQL, etc).
- Ability to conceptualize and conduct complex analysis.
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to organize time and priorities effectively.
- Flexibility to handle/meet deadlines and multiple tasks.
Schedule
- Mon-Fri, Days
- Required to take leadership calls on rotating basis
- Some evenings/weekends may be required
