We are seeking a strategic, hands-on Director of Inpatient Services to lead our Medical/Surgical Unit, Intensive Care Unit (ICU), and Multi-Unit Nursing teams with a focus on quality, safety, and operational excellence.
Position Summary:
The Director of Inpatient Services provides clinical and operational leadership across our inpatient care areas, including Med/Surg, ICU, and other multi-unit nursing departments. This leader ensures the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based patient care, promotes a culture of accountability and teamwork, and drives continuous improvement in patient experience and clinical outcomes.
This is a highly visible, working leadership role. The Director must be willing and able to support direct clinical care when necessary, and must maintain a consistent presence across all shifts-including days, nights, weekends, and holidays-to foster trust and engagement with team members.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations and patient care delivery for Med/Surg, ICU, and multi-unit nursing departments.
- Lead, develop, and support interdisciplinary clinical teams to ensure safe, efficient, and compassionate care.
- Collaborate with providers, peers, and support departments to meet performance goals and regulatory standards.
- Develop and manage department budgets, FTEs, and resource utilization.
- Drive initiatives that support patient satisfaction, nurse engagement, and high reliability.
- Provide clinical leadership and direct support during times of operational need or staffing shortages.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a related healthcare field required; Master's degree strongly preferred.
- Current RN license in the State of Colorado (or eligible for licensure).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in acute inpatient services, with at least 3 years in a formal leadership role.
- ACLS certification required; CCRN, NE-BC, or other specialty certification preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of inpatient nursing standards, patient safety practices, and regulatory compliance.
- Full-time, on-site leadership position.
- Must be present, available, and engaged across all shifts to effectively support teams and operations.
- Occasional direct clinical care may be required to support staffing and patient care needs.
