Oversee operational team and give strategic direction to ensure maximum operational efficiency. Serve as day-to-day operational manager and adhere to OTI change & incident request processes. Send out daily communications including status, risks, issues, escalation, etc. Overall operational coordination including management of resources. Coordinate all documentation for projects and create all deliverables defined by the OTI Applications: Custom Application division.
Coordinate with various groups within OTI to ensure the successful completion of migrations to the test and production environments.
Lead the cross-team coordination of all pre-deployment, deployment, and post-deployment operational activities across the various teams.
Work with Tech Leads to address technical challenges/risks/issues that affect the operations of an application.
Participate in operational afterhours on-call rotation as needed.
MANDATORY SKILLS
At least 15 years of experience in managing engineering teams responsible for developing and supporting web applications and infrastructure.
Experience with migrating enterprise applications from on-premises to cloud infrastructure.
Able to manage the team's time effectively, and plan for future operational requests.
Keeps calm under pressure while providing guidance to an operational team, particularly in an outage scenario.
Able to adapt to a changing environment and incorporate new technologies as needed to increase the operational efficiency of the team and supported applications.
Strong oral and written communications skills.
Self-motivated, must be a proven team leader.
Able to lead the team to identify and solve problems quickly and efficiently.
