Reporting to the Crude Scheduling Supervisor, the Crude Oil Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for all activities associated with the end-to-end logistics of crude oil and condensate from the wellhead to downstream sales markets via trucks, pipeline and rail. As the successful candidate, you will develop and maintain strong business relationships with customers, pipeline companies, and industry participants.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Manage Pipeline Operations and Compliance: Utilize expertise in pipeline rules and regulations, pipeline capacities, tolling and apportionment calculations, COLC procedures, contract pricing elements, industry quality equalization processes, and heavy oil blending formulas to ensure seamless pipeline operations
  • Conduct Economic Evaluations for Cost Optimization: Analyze delivery options and perform detailed economic evaluations to determine the most cost-effective delivery alternatives, maximizing wellhead netback value and optimizing logistics strategies
  • Documentation and Reporting: Review and verify Form C supplies from pipelines and terminals, ensuring the accurate submission of original Notices of Shipment (NOS) in accordance with industry standards and company procedures
  • Monitor Field Production and Adjust Supply Chains: Monitor field production and identify supply/demand imbalances using field data capture software and coordination with production engineers and field staff. Adjust Form A's, Form B's, and NOS as needed to maintain operational efficiency
  • Collaborate with Pipeline Staff for Production Coordination: Work closely with pipeline staff to ensure Canadian Natural's production flows according to NOS nominations, maintaining full compliance with purchase and sales contracts
  • Ensure Data Accuracy in Operational Systems: Maintain accurate and up-to-date data in Egistix and on the Supply Demand worksheets, ensuring all business activities are properly reflected for operational transparency and effective decision-making

What You Bring to the Role:
  • A Degree in Business, Economics, or Engineering with a minimum of five years of marketing experience within a crude oil marketing environment
  • Strong knowledge of crude oil transportation methods, including pipelines, trucks, and rail
  • Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and safety standards
  • Well-developed analytical, computer and organizational skills and the ability to manage workload in a high paced environment
  • Strong communication, organizational and team skills complemented with strong work ethics are required
