BIGHORN AIRWAYS, INC, is seeking an experienced Chief Pilot to join our team. This position offers the opportunity to work with a wide variety of customers and employees. The primary responsibility of the Chief Pilot is to maintain the professional standards of Bighorn Airways flight crews and be involved in the daily flight operations of Bighorn Airways.

Essential Job Functions
- Overall guidance, supervision and scheduling of flight crews.
- Standardization and coordination of procedures used by crewmembers.
- Coordinate with the training manager to verify the required testing, flight checks, and currency requirements.
- Coordinate with Director of Maintenance to ensure continued aircraft worthiness.
- Verification of duty/rest time compliance.
- Maintain all pilot records, pilot medical status and pilot training status.
- Ensure aircraft have current W & B, AFM and approved checklists.
- Work closely with the FAA to meet all regulatory requirements and maintain operational approvals.
- Monitor and maintain company flight logs.
- Periodically perform ramp inspections on all company aircraft to ensure proper status.
- Ensure the Flight Operations Department is collecting, posting and verifying flight logs and discrepancy logs in accordance with the GOM.
- Maintain reference library in accordance with approved operating and training procedures.
- Develop conflict resolution strategies regarding flight crew issues.
- Assist Director of Operations, as needed.
- Oversee and supervise Flight Attendant program.
- Work effectively under time constraints and pressure.
- Adhere to the established policies and procedures outlined in company manuals and the Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR's)
- Maintain pilot and aircraft currency and fly as necessary to support the company flight schedule.
- Ability to obtain or currently hold a SECRET clearance
Requirements/Qualifications
- ATP, First Class medical, 5000+ hrs. total time, 4000+ hrs. PIC, 3000+ hrs. multi-engine. Hold a current flight instructor certificate with multi-engine rating.
- Must be proficient at maintaining an Operations Manual, Operations Specifications and Training Manual.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Must be proficient in Rocky Mountain hot and high operations.
- A bachelor's degree in Business or Aviation Management, or the equivalent, is preferred.
- Extensive experience in large aircraft operations desired.
- Experience with government and overseas operations and contracts preferred.
