Our Company
In 1980 the first American El Pollo Loco opened on Alvarado Street in Los Angeles, quickly becoming a destination for the best citrus-marinated, fire-grilled pollo in town. POSITION PURPOSE:
Develops strategy and executes all aspects of the product marketing calendar to deliver on brand objectives and achieve marketing KPIs. Drives the development and execution of the product development process and all go-to-market activations and product promotions. Leads the field marketing team.

Education/Work Experience:
Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred. A minimum of 6+ years of product marketing and menu management leadership. Experience with Franchise Casual Dining or LSR brands required. Experience with field marketing a plus.
License/Certifications:
Possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
The pay range identified is the hourly or salary rate El Pollo Loco expects to pay for the posted position. This range does not include any benefits or bonus opportunities that might be available for the position based on position and eligibility criteria. Individual pay will vary based on a variety of factors including years of experience, industry experience, education, geography, etc.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversees new product marketing and offer development along with system-wide and test market execution by identifying relevant menu, product, and promotional offer opportunities.
- Leads the cross-functional execution of new products and offers from concept to launch.
- Develops marketing calendar with objectives and strategies designed to achieve sales and transaction goals.
- Leads a cross-functional team to mobilize all aspects of the marketing calendar, including new products, promotions, and
- Leads the field marketing team, driving the local store marketing strategy, including new market entry. Cultivates franchise relationships and is the functional leader of the Marketing Advisory Committee.
- Advocate new products/offer benefits to key stakeholder groups, including franchisees, department leaders and franchise business directors.
- Develop go-to-market plans for new products, promotions, and other calendar initiatives including strategy, product positioning, product naming, and pricing.
- Analyze business performance reports to optimize program performance, and if necessary, makes timely adjustments and proposes new strategies.
- Oversight of go-to-market timelines in conjunction with marketing calendar to ensure appropriate time allotted to develop brand-elevating and sales-driving approaches for test and system-wide launches
- Manage marketing spend to ensure agency spend remains within budget.
- Partner with the Consumer Insights and Business Analytics team Insights to project program results, determine coupon discounts, identify success criteria/opportunities, and conceive new program concepts.
- Drive strategies and plans, and execute marketing initiatives for new projects, menu changes, special menus, remodels and rebranding campaigns.

- Strong leadership skills; proven work experience as a VP of Marketing, Marketing Director, or other marketing senior role with in-depth industry experience
- Demonstrable track record for managing highly effective teams: proven ability to lead, coach, mentor, and encourage open sharing of ideas.
- Demonstrated experience implementing executing, driving, and measuring results across all marketing channels.
- Experience in advanced planning and budget management.
- Sets quarterly and annual objectives and priorities, developing plans to accomplish established goals.
- Ability to read, write, and interpret complex reports, documents, and correspondence.
- Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external business partners.
- Ability to prioritize and plan work assignments and work under pressure of frequent and tight deadlines.
- High level of proficiency with technology including Microsoft Office Suite applications, customized database applications, and internet research tools.
- Adept at managing and prioritizing competing time sensitive requests while working well in a team atmosphere that may be under pressure.
- Ability to work at the Support Center consistent with the hybrid work policy.
