Position: Superintendent - Mission Critical, GBA Builders

Construction Superintendent

We are looking for a Construction Superintendent to support construction management for the GBA Builders Mission Critical. This superintendent will have the full support of the project manager while exercising autonomy in day-to-day operations. Successful candidate will be a team player who is self-motivated and willing to jump in and assist where needed, adding value by offering thoughtful solutions and project efficiencies.

Responsibilities:

• Provide coordination and supervision of design-build and bid-build projects in mission critical facilities such as tele data switch centers and data centers
• Collaboration with clients, design team and contractors for project success
• Build/maintain jobsite culture of "Safety First"
• Quality Control/Quality Assurance
• Daily coordination and management of subcontractors and jobsite logistics
• Collect, review and submit shop drawings, product data, test reports, etc.
• Build/update construction schedule and 'look ahead' schedules
• Review estimates with operations team to ensure logistical/site considerations are included
• Author and execute M.O.P.s (Method of Procedure)
• Complete daily/weekly reports and maintain photo journal of progress

Requirements:

• Degree in construction management preferred.
• A minimum of 7 years' experience in construction management/supervision.
• Experience in the construction of critical facility environments is preferred
• Partnership approach to working with contractors, designers and clients.
• MS Office Suite knowledge and excellent computer skills
• Proficient in MS Project
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated ability to build and lead a team
• Self-motivation with good time management skills
