Reports To: Head of Revenues / Chief Revenue Officer, Vacatia

Position Summary:

As the Director of Revenue Management, you will be responsible for maximizing rental revenues and profits through the coordination of revenue management processes and procedures. DRM will be accountable for pricing, inventory management and proper positioning competitively in the marketplace. As DRM is a senior position in the organization, the position will shoulder responsibilities to manage big assets and revenue streams. Oversees all processes associated with demand, revenue, inventory, and forecasting. Develops and recommends pricing strategy to maximize rental revenues and identifies new revenue and distribution opportunities. Continuously strive to increase market share and outperform direct competitors. Continuously strive to diversify customer segments and manage and oversee revenue management analytic functions to produce reporting that support and evaluate business strategies. Produce accurate revenue forecasts that help to set goals and outgrow the competition.

Specific Responsibilities:

Core duties and responsibilities include the following:

Manage daily revenue management operations and produce reporting to support property rental revenue growth.

  • Pricing and Inventory Maximization
  • Forecasting Rental Revenues
  • Distribution Management and Optimization
  • Conduct weekly and bi-weekly revenue strategy meetings and provide relevant
  • Manage daily rate shopping and recommendations
  • Update channel manager, property management systems and other systems as required
  • Update forecast and rates as necessary
  • Work with all relevant BI tools and gather market intelligence to ensure proper decision-making
  • Conduct regular analysis of rate strategies and tactics for future decision-making
  • Collaborate with Distribution and Digital to increase production from Vacatia.com
  • Effectively manage 3rd party revenue systems as required. Implement recommendations across all channels
  • Provide analysis of the major OTA channels to ensure properties are maximizing revenues and marketing exposure
  • Ensure correct set-up and management of rates and availability via channel manager and extranets
  • Ensure rate parity across all relevant distribution channels and Vacatia.com as necessary
  • Conduct distribution audits that optimize content and preferred placements. Maintain 100% content scores
  • Ensure utilization of all free listings across channels and manage marketing activities such as Expedia TravelAds
  • Merchandise inventory as per market research and manage inventory type utilization to maximize rental revenues
  • Oversee, educate and train RM staff as necessary
  • Manage inventory availability and collaborate with Inventory manager for appropriate inventory forecasting
  • Maximize overall rental revenue by managing group blocks, pricing, inventory allocation


Position Requirements (Skills/Abilities):

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Minimum of 8-years' experience preferred in hotel/vacation/resort/timeshare revenue management
  • Preferred large (500 rooms plus) property and/or multi-property experience
  • Technically skilled in managing extranets, channel management solutions, RMS system, and PMS
  • Preferred expertise in revenue optimization, forecasting, demand management and working with
  • Microsoft Excel, and data management and Business Intelligence systems
  • Ability to communicate and educate team members on the market trends and deployed strategies of the property and local lodging market as a whole.

Managerial Responsibilities:

This position has supervisory responsibilities.

Flexible Schedule:

Must be able to work extended hours including nights, weekends and holidays.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job the team member is required to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. It is required to use his/her hands and fingers to feel, and reach for objects of various sizes, shapes, and weights.

The team member will occasionally be required to climb a step ladder or balance and to talk, hear and/or smell, must regularly push, pull, lift and/or move 10-25 lbs. and occasionally push, pull, lift and/or move 50 or more pounds with assistance. Specific Vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to focus on various settings.

This position is highly visible in all resort areas, team members must present a clean professional appearance and must adhere to Daily Management, Inc., Local Standard Operating Procedures-Standards of Appearance.
