Description:
Responsible for leading and managing the Human Resources staff in the planning, development and implementation of the full range of Human Resources programs, policies and services for the Company -- effectively, efficiently and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Proactive business partner, catalyst and resource for Senior Management on H.R. matters.
Corporate Communication -Establish a corporate that helps support Acuative's business model; develop communication channels throughout the organization; ensure employee concerns are addressed and managed appropriately; assist Management to develop a top-down communication model.
Recruiting/Talent Acquisition & Retention - Help position Acuative as an Employer-of-choice; enhance applicant tracking system; develop better sourcing strategy; build on-boarding program.
Management Training, Coaching and Development - mentor and coach Acuative management team in improving their management skills (recruiting and selection, training and developing, coaching and counseling, disciplining, work planning and organization, EEO/AA, teambuilding, etc.).
Policy/program/system design and implementation - assure that Acuative HR policies, benefit programs and systems meet the needs of the Company - update and upgrade on an ongoing basis. Examples include: revision and upgrade of policies, reviewing and recommending changes to benefits, designing and implementing new compensation programs, pay grades and ranges, ongoing upgrades and improvements to tools (ADP, LinkedIn, Careerbuilder, e-Supervision, ATS, Lynda.com etc.)
Employee Relations - serve as sounding board for employee issues; consult with managers for positive morale and employee relations, investigate and respond to employee complaints and grievances.
Supervision and staff development - manage the Human Resource Department including hiring, coaching & mentoring, building H.R. technical knowledge, setting job expectations, defining job duties and roles, evaluating performance, etc.
Legal compliance - assure that the Company complies with the full gamut of employment-related laws (wage & hour, safety, EEO/AA, benefits, etc). Consult with legal counsel as appropriate, on personnel and immigration matters.
Contracts reviewing - review and comment on drafts of Acuative vendor and consultant contracts.
Other- Participates on committees and special projects and seeks additional responsibilities.
Minimum Qualification
Seasoned H.R. professional with at least 7 years' experience in Human Resources management and a record of being a valued and proactive "business partner"
SHRM CP or PHR
Bachelors Degree in HR or relevant field
Proven expertise in each of the functional areas of Human Resources (employee relations, compensation, benefits, recruiting, training and development, Human Resources Information Systems, Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action, safety, etc.)
Up-to-date knowledge of Human Resources "best practices", resource tools, vendors and employment-related legal requirements
Strong interpersonal skills; team player
Excellent oral and written communication skill; proficient in use of Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
