Job Summary
WHEATLAND SCHOOL DISTRICT
POSITION Teacher
LOCATION BEAR RIVER
GRADE Special Day Class Middle School
DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
SUPERVISION Directly responsible to the School Principal
Salary will be based upon units above BA & prior teaching experience.
May be credited with up to 10 years past teaching experience, salary ranging from $56,040 - $105,640 plus $14,000 towards H&W annually.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's Degree with valid California Teaching Credential and the appropriate Special Education Specialist Instruction Credential -Moderate/Severe Disabilities and authorization for the specific position.
Teaching experience with learning disabled students is preferred.
Knowledge of subject area and instructional methodologies and techniques.
Skills to motivate special education students in one or more areas and to communicate with individuals from varied backgrounds.
Knowledge of California State Standards, curriculum, education code, and Special Education law.
Ability to maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with students, parents, and school personnel.
Ability to perform a variety of specialized and responsible tasks, maintain records, and meet schedule deadlines.
Knowledge of special education comprehensive database programs that provides the management of student IEP and SELPA data.
