Compensation may increase based upon relevant education and experience.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Educational Leadership, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
- Eight years of full-time, progressively responsible and effective leadership experience in budgeting, finance, grants, or educational administration.
- Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience, and/or certifications may be considered.
- Demonstrated experience in grant proposal writing, financial planning, and program development.
- Valid Florida driver license.
- Master's degree from an accredited institution in Educational Leadership, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
- Ten years of full-time, progressively responsible and effective leadership experience in budgeting, finance, grants, or educational administration.
- Experience managing multi-million-dollar budgets in a government or education setting.
- Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems for financial management.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of federal, state and local laws, statutes, regulations, codes, and standards related to education funding, grants management, and budgetary policies.
- Knowledge of accounting, financial reporting and budget development principles, practices and procedures.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to take initiative to plan, organize, coordinator and perform work in various situations when numerous and diverse demands are involved.
- Ability to think critically and creatively, have a high standard of integrity, and be motivated to incorporate best practices into the organizational structure.
- Ability to work collaboratively and build strategic relations with a diverse group of faculty, administration, students, and the community.
- Ability to compile, organize, interpret, and communicate accounting data and results in a concise format.
- Ability to effectively plan and delegate the work of others.
- Ability to establish goals and objectives.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Develop and manage the district's budget, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and compliance with financial regulations.
- Provide fiscal year revenue and expenditure estimates and ensure budgetary balance.
- Identify and secure grant funding opportunities to support District initiatives.
- Oversee the development, approval, and implementation of grant-funded programs and projects.
- Advise leadership on grant compliance, financial trends, and funding strategies.
- Prepare and present budgetary and grant-related reports to the Board, Superintendent, and stakeholders.
- Lead and monitor special projects and initiatives related to budgeting and grants.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, policies, and best practices in financial and grant administration.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
