This position is a key role in the execution of the Business Risk & Resiliency program by supporting and collaborating with Risk Managers for all lines of business, analyzing data, preparing reports, and partnering with the business to promote a robust risk culture. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with business stakeholders and risk leadership.

You will
  • Risk Identification and Assessment: Maintain the risk register for all lines of business, and across issue source (Business Self-Identified, Internal Audit, or Regulatory Review), ensuring issues and events are properly reported, triaged, documented, and remediated in accordance with ERM policies. This includes maintenance and oversight of risk mitigation plans and tracking business continuity gaps in collaboration with business owners, escalating where necessary.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Work with Risk Managers to perform and support detailed data analysis including risk trending, problem identification, and development and timely completion of remediation projects. Overseeing risk inputs and preparing regular reports and presentations summarizing risk assessments, top risks, Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), and risk mitigation strategies to drive transparency and support informed decision-making.
  • Monitoring and Oversight: Continuously monitor automated risk and control processes to ensure compliance with organizational policies and proper functioning of automated workflows. Perform quality and accuracy review across various risk data inputs. Oversee assignments and completion of risk tasks, approvals, exceptions, and escalations.
  • Risk & Resiliency Framework Support: Maintain and enhance the Risk & Resiliency frameworks. Assist in updating policies, standards, procedures, and guidance documents to reflect evolving program and business needs. Provide support to business units in interpreting and applying the Risk & Resiliency requirements, ensuring consistency across the organization.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with various business units to communicate risk-related information effectively to different stakeholders and Business Risk & Resiliency management. Collaborate with risk, IT, and process owners to enhance automation and risk processes.
  • Special Projects and Exercises: Assist with new and ad-hoc projects, including building resiliency playbooks, identifying system enhancements, testing of tools and automation, supporting risk managers in responding and recovering from business interruption events, assisting with various risk tests and exercises, including the Disaster Recovery exercise.


You are
  • Self-motivated and able to perform with a high degree of autonomy, demonstrating initiative and an ability to manage multiple priorities with a sense of discipline, urgency, and results orientation.
  • An excellent communicator with solid relationship development skills and the ability to effectively interface with key stakeholders.
  • Able to work collaboratively across the organization with a track record of embracing diversity.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.


You have
  • 5+ years of experience in risk management, compliance, internal audit or other roles with risk and control responsibilities, preferably with a background in the insurance industry
  • Broad knowledge of general business operations and familiarity with risk and control frameworks
  • Proven record of executing projects autonomously and on time
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to effectively communicate risk-related information to various audiences.


Reporting Relationship

This position reports to the Head of Business Risk & Resiliency, who reports to our Chief Risk Officer within Enterprise Risk Management.

Location

Hybrid: 3 days in the office, 2 days WFH. Preferred location - Hudson Yards, NYC or Bethlehem, PA.

Salary Range:

$67,450.00 - $110,815.00

The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
