Summary/Objective
The Pre-Construction Executive leads a best-in-class team of Preconstruction Managers, Technical PreConstruction Managers and Estimators. Overall responsibility to accurately cost estimate, design and
engineer, plan and final budget projects to ensure gross profit margins and construction contract
awards. Responsibilities include assisting CR & BD to win new work and overseeing DA/
Preconstruction phase of projects. Will also assist Precon Managers, Technical Pre-Con Managers
Estimators & Job Captains with the development and execution of project plans and schedules, monitor
project performance. They thrive in a dynamic workforce relationship between co-workers,
subcontractors, fabrication shop, and contractors.
Primary Responsibilities/Functions
1. Pre-Construction phase project oversight.
2. Continuous collaboration, teamwork, and accountability with One-Team Core Leadership: VP
Client Relation, Pre-Construction Executive and Construction Project Executive.
3. Overall responsibility to increase (and maintain) gross profit of projects by driving efficient
designs, engineering, and project planning.
4. Scheduling of internal and external resources (PM's-design, engineering, drafting, design,
estimating (phase2)).
5. Keep customers fully informed of preconstruction progress.
6. Design and R&D conceptual proposals/designs.
7. Cost budgeting & cost estimating.
8. Proposal development.
9. Pitch presentation as required with Client Partnerships.
10. Negotiation award (or phased awards) as required with Client Partnerships.
11. Ensure Synergi design/shop drawings/engineering/samples meets and fits within Synergi
budget and architectural/structural building design and parameters/specs.
12. Prepare procurement (and procurement of when necessary) of materials/subcontractors
13. Oversee billings/invoicing/SOV to clients.
14. Ensure projects are accurately accounted for with Finance team.
15. Handoff projects to Construction thoroughly and with all costs locked down.

Ownership of the Project Life Cycle - Success will be measured on projects executed by your team in
the areas of:
1. Client satisfaction based on ownership/project stakeholder goals.
2. Meet client expectations measured through client satisfaction surveys and feedback.
3. Project Management - schedule, budget/cost, construction, risk. Design.
4. Support the Business Development team by participating in the interview stage of securing work.
5. Provide general project management oversight in all phases of construction.
6. Provide leadership to individual logistical plans and project scheduling.
7. Provide overall accountability for successful delivery of multiple projects and/or a major
project(s).
8. Provide oversight, leadership and be accountable for the development and maintenance of the
master project schedule.
9. Accountable for safety, quality, and compliance programs for your teams' project(s).
10. Financial performance of project based on projected GP and output volumes/earned value
output.
11. Conduct individual project reviews for the project portfolio and be accountable for the financial
management, schedule, execution and safety of the projects.
12. Safety performance.
13. Collaborate with Environmental Health and Safety staff and management to ensure the safe
execution of the project sites to achieve an end goal of Zero lost-time accidents and maintain
EMR rating of less than 0.8.
14. Maintain top of class project schedules for every mission critical detail on every project.
