Job Summary:

The Director of Nursing Support Services is responsible for overseeing and optimizing nursing support operations across the healthcare facility. This role involves strategic planning, coordinating nursing support staff, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. The Nursing Director of Support Services is responsible for leading quality improvement initiatives within the nursing department and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices in patient care. This role involves working collaboratively with nursing leadership, clinical teams, and administrative staff to enhance patient safety, improve clinical outcomes, and promote a culture of excellence in nursing practice. The Director will work closely with nursing leadership, medical staff, and administrative teams to enhance service delivery, improve patient outcomes, and promote a positive work environment for nursing personnel.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and oversight to nursing support services, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance nursing efficiency and patient care quality.
  • Collaborate with nursing leadership to ensure adequate staffing levels and resource allocation.
  • Monitor compliance with healthcare regulations and accreditation standards.
  • Lead initiatives to improve patient satisfaction and clinical outcomes.
  • Manage budgets and operational plans for nursing support services.
  • Oversee recruitment, training, and professional development of nursing support staff.
  • Work closely with interdisciplinary teams to improve workflow and patient care processes.
  • Evaluate performance metrics and implement process improvements as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration preferred.
  • Current RN license in [State] (or ability to obtain upon hire).
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of nursing leadership experience, preferably in support services or administration.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, accreditation requirements, and best practices in nursing management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with budget management and resource allocation.
  • Proficiency in healthcare technology and electronic health records (EHR) systems.

Annual Pay Range: $121,160 - $181,792

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
