We are seeking a Sr. Manager, Analytics & Cost Control to join our Marketing organization. In this high-impact role, you will lead a dedicated team of analytics professionals focused on delivering actionable insights and optimizing marketing expenditures across all channels. Working cross-functionally with Engineering, Design, Program, Sales, Finance, and Customer teams, you will establish data-driven processes that ensure every marketing dollar aligns with our business objectives and delivers outstanding value to our customers.

This position requires a balance of strategic leadership, deep analytical expertise, and hands-on problem-solving. You will mentor three direct reports-specializing in Marketing Analytics, Web Analytics, and Media Analytics-and collaborate with stakeholders at every level to champion a culture of data-driven decision-making, cost-effectiveness, and continuous improvement.

You Will:

Develop a Unified Analytics Vision
  • Define the overarching analytics strategy for marketing performance, online user behavior, and media effectiveness.
  • Drive cross-team alignment to establish consistent data standards, methodologies, and KPIs.

Optimize Marketing Investments
  • Collaborate with Finance and Procurement to monitor budgets, negotiate vendor contracts, and identify opportunities for cost savings.
  • Present cost-benefit analyses of key initiatives, ensuring leadership has clear visibility into ROI and areas of potential optimization.

Lead & Scale a High-Performing Team
  • Hire, coach, and inspire a team of three managers (Marketing Analytics, Web Analytics, Media Analytics).
  • Foster professional development, champion collaboration, and encourage innovation in analytical approaches.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Engineering, Design, Program, Sales, Finance, and Customer teams to ensure data accuracy and holistic marketing insights.
  • Translate performance insights into actionable recommendations for new product features, campaign strategies, and customer engagement initiatives.

Refine & Track Key Metrics
  • Establish and evolve KPIs (e.g., ROI, CPA, CAC, conversion rates) to guide strategic marketing decisions.
  • Maintain real-time dashboards and reporting that inform rapid course corrections and strategic pivots.

Ensure Data Governance & Compliance
  • Uphold best practices in data handling, security, and privacy (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
  • Collaborate with IT and Data Engineering to maintain a robust analytics infrastructure that scales with business growth.

Drive Continuous Improvement
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor strategies, and emerging technologies in analytics, marketing, and cost optimization.
  • Proactively recommend enhancements to people, processes, and technology to keep Lucid at the forefront of sustainable innovation.

You Bring:
  • 7-10+ years in analytics, marketing finance, or business operations, preferably in automotive, technology, or another complex, fast-paced industry.
  • Demonstrated success leading and motivating analytics teams, with 3+ years of direct management experience.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Proficiency in analytics platforms and BI tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Tableau/Power BI, SQL), with a proven ability to synthesize large data sets into clear, actionable insights that inform strategy.
  • Experience driving marketing ROI, negotiating vendor contracts, and steering cost-optimization initiatives.
  • Skill in bridging technical, marketing, and business perspectives to align diverse teams around shared objectives, plus exceptional presentation capabilities for executive-ready deliverables.
  • A growth mindset, eager to learn, experiment, and iterate; familiarity with product development cycles in the automotive or EV sector is a plus.

Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.

Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid's equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs. (Cash or equity incentive awards, if any, will depend on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and company performance.)

Base Pay Range (Annual)

$167,100-$245,080 USD
