The UIC Retzky College of Pharmacy,Department of Pharmacy Practice is seeking a full time, motivated professionalfor the position of Clinical Instructor/Clinical Pharmacist who will beassigned to UI Health's Hospital Pharmacy Services. This position is a day rotating position in a24/7 Hospital Pharmacy.

Duties:
TheClinical Instructor/ Clinical Pharmacist is responsible for the accurate andefficient review and verification of physicians' medication orders, reconciliationof medications utilized in surgical cases, and works with health care providersand patients to resolve any medication issues. Responsibilities of thisposition also include ensuring that all regulatory requirements are met,directing the activities performed by pharmacy technicians, serving as aresource for the medical and nursing staffs for medication-related questions.
Clinical Instructor academicresponsibilities include the provision of didactic teachingand clinical experiential teaching/training in the College of Pharmacy's Doctorof Pharmacy Program and precepting of PGY1 and PGY2 residents.
Minimum Qualifications:
Graduate of an ACPE accredited PharmD program.
Must present evidence of, or eligibility for, Illinois licensure as a pharmacist by hire date.
Clinical experience and practice involving contemporary hospital pharmacy services.
Candidates must possess knowledge and skills such that they qualify for an academic faculty position in Pharmacy Practice, UIC College of Pharmacy.
Preferred Qualifications:
Completion of an ASHP accredited PGY1 residency.
Inpatient pharmacy experience, excellent interpersonal skills, energetic 'can do' attitude and proven record of positive interactions with other pharmacists, technicians, nurses and physicians.
Experience in the safe handling and preparation of IV admixtures and chemotherapy; compounding knowledge and skills are aplus.
