Description
Lummus Technology is currently seeking a talented and experienced Project Manager to manage projects and proposals of wide-ranging complexity including: licensing, basic engineering, and equipment supply. This position requires great latitude of independent judgment and flexibility, and a strong understanding of equipment supply offerings. This role must be able to simultaneously manage many aspects of a project. Candidate must have a clear understanding of project scope and objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member and engineering partner to effectively coordinate the activities of the assignment. The ideal candidate must ensure timely and efficient completion of engineering projects to achieve the objectives of both the company and the client.

Lummus Technology is currently seeking a talented and experienced Project Manager to manage projects and proposals of wide-ranging complexity including: licensing, basic engineering, and equipment supply. The ideal candidate must ensure timely and efficient completion of engineering projects to achieve the objectives of both the company and the client.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage team members to ensure project work is completed within the schedule and budget, while following applicable codes, specifications, and the engineering plan of the project.
- Manage costs and maintain gross margins for assigned projects, proposals, and studies.
- Prepare Coordination Plans.
- Prepare and manage Intracompany Work Agreements (ICWA) and change orders.
- Plan and develop schedules to insure the timely completion of the project.
- Consult with Engineering Leads and Procurement leads to assure staffing/de-staffing are in accordance with the project's needs.
- Confer with the Process Manager, Engineering Leads, Procurement, and Logistics Leads regarding changes of significant consequences to the scope or schedule of the project.
- Lead client meetings together with Engineering Leads and Technology Managers.
- Continually monitor project/proposal progress to ensure milestones are met within the specific deadlines.
- Track and monitor man-hour estimates and equipment costs.
- Ensure that the Client requirements and request are clearly defined and communicated to the project team.
- Communicate project status to all team members.
- Prepare Engineering/Staffing Plan with input of Engineering Leads and TM.
- Prepare weekly/monthly project progress reports.
- Perform other activities in all areas of project
- Domestic and International Travel - 10-20%
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Bachelor's degree in a discipline of Engineering preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in project engineering, cost management, or related fields.
- Minimum 5 years managing project execution and coordinating project teams preferred.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Must be a initiative-taker and be able to initiate and guide the work of others.
- Ability to balance multiple and sometimes competing priorities within tight timelines.
- Strong ability to analyze complex issues and determine the best solution or course of action to meet client needs.
- Advanced communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
