Job Summary

The Data Quality (DQ) Specialist leads the implementation of the Data Quality platform and its components, develops workplans for data quality assessment, and supports remediation across all technology platforms. They also promote the enterprise-wide strategic direction, enablement, and adoption of data quality capabilities.

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead the Data Quality domain, introduce Data Quality assessment tools, and advocate for platform adoption across the organization.


  • Work with enterprise and data architecture teams to define Data Quality standards, oversee compliance, and ensure data certification for reporting and analytics.


  • Drive cloud-based Data Quality capabilities, oversee architecture blueprints, integrate Data Quality tools with enterprise systems, and ensure metadata management.


  • Work with IT, business leaders, and vendors to define and execute Data Quality initiatives, aligning them with organizational priorities.


  • Perform data profiling, assess data quality across six dimensions (accuracy, completeness, etc.), and support data cleansing efforts.


  • Implement role-based access controls, enforce data classification schemes, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA).


  • Promote a culture of Data Quality, provide training, develop standards, and influence enterprise-wide Data Quality adoption strategies.


  • Establish oversight policies, identify risks, enforce technology standards, and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture.


  • Evaluate and refine Data Quality processes, track remediation plans, recommend impact metrics, and stay updated on industry trends and emerging AI capabilities.


Education and Experience Qualifications

  • University degree in data technologies or computer science (or equivalent) with over 10 years of experience in data analysis, profiling, DQ rule creation, and metric reporting.


  • Certification for Data Quality Platforms (such as Collibra or Ataccama ONE) is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Ataccama ONE modules, including Data Quality (DQ), Data Profiling and Data Catalog


  • Hands-on experience withconfiguring and using Ataccama DQ tools for profiling, cleansing, matching, and validation.


  • Proficiency in creating, customizing, and implementing data quality rules and workflows using Ataccama ONE DQ.


  • Experience integrating Ataccama ONE platform with other systems such as databases, CRMs (e.g., Salesforce) and HCMs (e.g., Workday) platforms


  • Strong understanding of cloud-based DQ solutions (e.g., Collibra, Informatica), and modern data ecosystems like Snowflake and Matillion.


  • Skilled in Agile development, cross-functional team collaboration, data visualization (Tableau, Power BI), and ensuring data privacy and compliance.


  • Excellent communication, stakeholder influence, and relationship-building abilities, with a strategic mindset, business partnership approach, and nonprofit experience as a plus.


Compensation:
The target hiring range for this position is $100,390.71 to $125,488.38 with a maximum of $150,586.06.
Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
