Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Training/mentoring Area Vice President of Operations (AVP) and Regional Director of Operations (RDO) on appropriate scheduling and deployment clinical staff to meet community program needs.
- Applicable for direct report communities: Directs the provision of quality patient care and provides patient care skills development opportunities as appropriate to ensure quality care in the community, and delivers patient care as required within scope of practice.
- Ensures AVPs and RDOs train/mentor Director of Rehabilitaiton (DOR) to direct the provision of quality patient care and provides patient care skills development opportunities as appropriate to ensure quality care in the community, and delivers patient care as required within scope of practice.
- Ensures AVPs and RDOs train/mentor DORs to direct efficient caseload management and scheduling of patients within communities in geographic market assigned. Includes, but not limited to, resident screening, assignment of patients, review of treatment outcomes, assurance of efficiency requirements, and implementation of clinical programs.
- Ensure Reliant Rehabilitation and Customer Policies and Procedures, and Patient Care Standards are met in assigned communities.
- Implementation and management of staffing objectives for their geographic area.
- Serve as a clinical resource by line of business (ex. therapy type) as appropriate and conduct routine clinical/ compliance audits in assigned and adjacent areas as delegated.
- Responsible for the review and analysis of community case mix and contribution margin.
- Communicate with community staff and referral sources to obtain clinical information on new or potential admissions to community.
- Ensures AVPs and RDOs train/mentor DORs to development of plans of action and ensure good outcomes of deficiencies noted in routine clinical audits and/or compliance investigations.
- Manage new community start-ups and labor costs within geographic area.
- Ensure strong customer relations within assigned communities/customer(s).
- Ensures AVPs and RDOs plan and facilitate delivery of community staff in-services or other training programs.
- Manage practice to meet or exceed financial objectives; participate in the development of financial goals.
- Identify open positions, train staff (as required) on corporate initiatives, and recommend staff for recognition.
- Manage day-to-day customer issues and work for satisfactory resolution
- Provide regular feedback to assigned staff regarding expectations and performance.
- Develop corrective plans of action of risks or concerns identified and ensure good outcomes of deficiencies noted.
- Implement ongoing documentation peer review system within assigned communities.
- Monitor and accomplish area-specific employee retention objectives within assigned communities.
- Create and analyze standard weekly and monthly reporting.
- Maintain confidentiality of Reliant Rehabilitation, community, and patient information.
- Provide development opportunities for current staff.
- Coordinate training of staff (as required) on corporate initiatives.
- Must conduct self in an ethical, legal, and responsible manner at all times.
- Must adhere to the policies, principles, and guidance within the Employee Handbook and Code of Business Conduct.
- May require travel time up to 75%. Must be able to travel between communities during scheduled hours.
- Must be able to work varying hours and shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Attends all mandatory meetings, trainings, and assignments as delegated.
- Must comply with the position description for the discipline of current license.

Qualifications
Education/Experience:
- Associates degree, or higher, in Occupational Therapy (OT), Physical Therapy (PT), or Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) required.
- Minimum of five years clinical experience required, including at least three years in patient care and one to two years of successful clinical management.
Computer Skills:
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)
- Basic Internet navigation skills
Certificates and Licenses:
- Valid credentials that indicate meeting state regulatory board requirements to practice in state assigned required. Must meet other required regulatory standards to practice.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Supervises the work of others in multiple communities within the geographical area to include, but not limited to: training, scheduling, coaching, resolving issues, maintaining personnel records, and assisting with discipline and terminations.
